Cattle Baron Skukuza is located in an impressive setting in the Kruger National Park overlooking the river. The large outdoor deck is an excellent place to spot wildlife and numerous bird species. Elephants and lions are frequently spotted along this route. At night, look for the Fruit Bat that hangs under the leaves, and the thick-tailed Bush Baby climbing the trees.     The restaurant overcrowded. Not enough waiters. They are doing good job but can't cope. The long queues to get the food. Why not to do two food stations. My group wasn't happy at all.

    The service for our group of 25 people was very slow and the staff seemed to be lost. Tour Guide did not get the starter and had to ask several times for that. In many cases the food arrived cold on the hot plate, suggesting that it was heated in the microwave.

    The WORST food we ever had!!! Spare Ribs - pre-cooked & dry - drenched in bottled basting sauce - SERVED COLD!! - French fries with that also cold. My wifes burger same - patty was pre-cooked, dry & cold. Our two USA guests each had a steak (fillet & rib-eye) - they reluctantly acknowledged today that their steaks were not what they ordered. The waitress needs some serious training. THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT!!!!!
