Cattle Baron Skukuza is located in an impressive setting in the Kruger National Park overlooking the river. The large outdoor deck is an excellent place to spot wildlife and numerous bird species. Elephants and lions are frequently spotted along this route. At night, look for the Fruit Bat that hangs under the leaves, and the thick-tailed Bush Baby climbing the trees.     Was not impressed with the food. A prawn and calamari combo was THREE overcooked, dried out prawns. Side salad was 95% lettuce. Steak was ordered as medium and arrived Well Done - surely a steak house can at least cook a steak correctly?

    Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for Cattle Baron in the Kruger Park. I had reserved a table online the day before and decided on a pizza that was described as handmade. I ordered one with plenty of meat and caramelised onions and even asked the waitress beforehand if it was good. I was told yes. What arrived was clearly a pre-made base. Nothing about it was handmade. I could not find any caramelised onions at all, and the cheese tasted very cheap. Overall, the pizza was disappointing. I asked to speak to the manager, explained the issue, received a brief “thank you for the feedback” and that was it. I had most of the pizza packed to take away. After that, I waited more than 30 minutes without the waitress checking on me or asking whether I would like dessert, even though the restaurant closes at 9 pm. At one point I called the restaurant from my table. The phone rang audibly at the desk a few tables away, but it was ignored and taken into the kitchen instead. Eventually I managed to order a chocolate fondant. It arrived after three to four minutes, which strongly suggests it was reheated in a microwave rather than baked in an oven. That was exactly how it tasted: rubbery, with none of the texture of a freshly oven-baked fondant. When I raised this, the waitress insisted it had been made in the oven, which is simply not plausible within that timeframe. I barely touched the dessert and asked for the bill. Under normal circumstances I would have left the usual 10% tip, as service standards here are different and I respect that. However, there was no pen provided with the bill, even though a tip line was printed on it, so I eventually left it blank. Very disappointing overall. Given the unique location, I would have expected more honesty about the food and more attentiveness in service.

    Muito gostoso. O beef com gorgonzola e figo estava uma delícia. As sobremesas normais, não surpreendeu. O serviço ótimo e o ambiente do salão interno excelente.
