Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro Stellenbosch is a family-run restaurant re-opened under new ownership in August 2023 by Michael & Susan Van Rooyen. Situated on the R44 opposite the Mooiberge Strawberry Farm, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the vineyards and sunsets. Relax and enjoy the view with a selection of hand-selected, local wines from the Cape Winelands. In addition to its warm ambiance, the separate patio area is ideal for the most memorable summer parties and events. The garden area offers a jungle gym for kids, while parents can relax at the picnic benches under umbrellas.

    The filet with rosti and mushroom was delicious and the perfect portion for a female diner. We had a lovely dinner!

    It is always a good place to visit and we enjoy their quality and service. Have done so for years. The restaurant was full which shows how popular the Cattle Baron Stellenbosch is!

    I've found the prices have increased since last there (three months). Booking notwithstanding, we were seated in a dark end of the venue, and I would have preferred a table nearer the windows - for light. Otherwise, as always, food and service were top class.
