Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro Stellenbosch is a family-run restaurant re-opened under new ownership in August 2023 by Michael & Susan Van Rooyen. Situated on the R44 opposite the Mooiberge Strawberry Farm, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the vineyards and sunsets. Relax and enjoy the view with a selection of hand-selected, local wines from the Cape Winelands. In addition to its warm ambiance, the separate patio area is ideal for the most memorable summer parties and events. The garden area offers a jungle gym for kids, while parents can relax at the picnic benches under umbrellas.

    The tiled area makes the room cold also makes it seem that there’s a lot going on. The lights were also very bright. Maybe a warm white balm with dimmers could help? Food was great !!

    My meat was overcooked Bill was incorrect - waiter ringed the wrong item on the bill. Paid R325 instead of R285

    Sadly one of the less enjoyable meals. Burger was very undercooked and because it was covered in a mushroom sauce I didn't send it back. My mistake, ended up leaving most of it. Waiter rather disagreeable and had to argue with him to get the sauce we wanted, which we were happy to pay for.
