Nestled among rolling vineyards, landscaped gardens, and mountain views, Cavalli offers outdoor experiences designed to be enjoyed at an unhurried pace.

Our picnics are enjoyed on the manicured lawn overlooking the Helderberg mountains and surrounding vineyards. Each picnic is thoughtfully prepared, showcasing fresh, seasonal flavours, with the option to enjoy a bottle of Cavalli wine alongside. Picnics are ideal for relaxed afternoons spent outdoors, whether for a special occasion or a casual visit to the estate.

The tasting terrace, overlooking the dam and surrounding landscape, is the setting for our wine offerings. Guests can enjoy guided wine tastings, a gourmet oyster and wine pairing, cheese and charcuterie platters, and our three canapé and wine pairing, each designed to highlight the relationship between food and wine. Tastings are hosted in a relaxed, welcoming environment that encourages guests to take their time.

During the warmer months, the tasting terrace also hosts live music on the first Friday of each month, adding to the relaxed estate atmosphere.

    A beautiful picnic, with some really interesting and delicious food. Great wine. Fantastic location. All the staff provided amazing service. We had an awesome afternoon. We will definitely be back

    The most perfect location for a delicious picnic, with stunning views. Chairs, rugs and hampers provided - all perfect. Highly recommend.

    Yesterday afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon with bubbly, wine, and a delicious charcuterie board. There was nice live music. Due to bad weather, this day had been rescheduled, which was perfect because the weather was now fantastic. A super friendly waitress was working outside with a big smile on her face. After 6:00 PM, we were able to have dinner on the other outdoor deck. We both ordered a two-course menu, which includes a small bread roll and a small cake complimentary. For the main course, we both had steak; the pieces were small but the meat was super tender, accompanied by delicious saffron side dishes. I had a chocolate dessert that was incredibly tasty, and my boyfriend had a pudding. The pudding was so-so; it didn't seem to have much flavor. All in all, a fantastic evening with a beautiful view, nice music, and super friendly people! The only downside was that the staff hadn't deducted the 500 rand deposit from the bill; unfortunately, we only found out after paying. However, we were able to agree that we will be contacted on Monday regarding a possible refund of the amount. I trust that this will work out well as well.

    We loved the view, the ambiance, and the overall experience! The only negative was that we couldn’t do all four wines for the tasting at once due to a shortage of glasses. We did the tasting with the oysters, so we were served only two wines to start. We then waited quite a long time for the third, and after another long wait, the fourth. By then, the oysters were finished, even though the tasting was meant to be enjoyed with them.

    Our only complaint is that our waiter Sazi ditched us and would not facilitate finding us an umbrella as we were sat in the sun for our picnic.Lisa came to our rescue and found us an umbrella. Kudos to her!
