Why is Mr Chau called Chunky Chau? Because Mr Chau is not 'fat'.

‘Chunky’, on the other hand, can be used to refer to someone who is short and muscular. Being short and broad shouldered, he looks heavy. Unlike ‘fat’, ‘chunky’ does not have a negative connotation. In fact, according to some books on usage, native speakers sometimes use the word to indicate affection.

    10 out of 10 experience and food. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing. Highly recommend the all you can eat menu!!

    I am so happy to recommend Chunky Chau as they exceed expectations in all categories: food, service, and ambiance. This is the second time I've been back and they did not disappoint. The food is exquisite, always so well presented as well. The staff are so friendly, and you get this warm and fuzzy feeling being waited upon by them. Sam, the Manager of the branch as great people skills and is so intuitive. You merely glance in his direction or look around in need of something and he appears to make sure you have what you need. The decor is so classy and tastefully done. Thank you for such a great dining experience! Great job guys!!

    We had our company year end function at Chunky Chau. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The staff made the event feel seamless and enjoyable for everyone, and the whole team had a wonderful time. I can’t recommend them enough – thank you for making our evening so special!

    Ran out of food. Bao buns were bnit good. Manager cane to us after ordering and said sorry can't give you the food you ordered but here is some other random food. We also did not receive all the rounds we ordered and were promised 2 takeaway desserts as an apology. The desserts did not arrive until we asked and then we received a dessert we did not want or choose. Food also took more than 30 minutes to come out
