    I really enjoy going to Clarke’s, but it can be a bit stifling inside on a hot day.

    Overall a good experience, would definitely come here again, but maybe not for a special occasion. Food was very good (had the hash eggs) and a good portion, we were also very satisfied with our drinks. However when we went there, they had a live DJ - generally speaking I like having some good music in the background but this music was definitely far too loud! We sat outside, not too far away from the DJ and it was pretty much impossible to have normal conversation. We were a group of 20 people and I only understood those who sat directly next to me or maybe on further down the table. But even that wasn't easy conversation but more shouting. Don't know whether they had the music because of it being the Sunday and all the street was closed or whether it's normal but either way, that wasn't nice and really put a lot of us off. On a positive note, I paid the deposit for 20 people when I made the reservation but forgot to notify the others that they should take the amount of their total - so I ended up paying a lot more. The staff did notice this though and offered to refund the total deposit which was super kind and very much appreciated!

    Relaxed atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced. House lemonade is particularly delicious and burgers are generous in size
