Yesterday was my first time being at the cafe and it was truly amazing! From the welcoming staff to the music, food and painting experience. I went alone so it's also perfect for solo dates, you have the table all to yourself. My waitress Tamanda was awesome :) Definitely recommended, even for introverts like me!

This was my first Clay Cafe experience, and I loved it. My wife and daughter have been going to the Hout Bay branch since it opened, and they really liked the calmer atmosphere of the Bree St branch. The music was the weak link. R&B and soul are great, but after 2+ hours it gets a bit much to be locked into one genre, especially when the DJ has included several 70s tracks with long guitar solos and you're sitting under a speaker.
