    This was my second visit in two months to the ceramic painting studio in Paarl and unfortunately, it will be my last. Our experience this time was extremely disappointing. At no stage were we informed that we would have to be finished by a specific cut-off time, nor were we warned that the café closes strictly at 17:00. Instead, we were abruptly and repeatedly rushed by staff who were clearly more concerned with going home than with basic customer courtesy. The manner in which we were treated was completely unprofessional — our ceramics were snatched off the table in a passive-aggressive way, and the staff’s tone and attitude were downright rude. After spending good money to enjoy what should have been a relaxing creative experience, being made to feel like an inconvenience was unacceptable. It’s a real pity, because the concept itself is lovely, but the service and attitude of the staff have ensured that I won’t be returning, nor recommending this establishment to anyone else

    We had a fantastic time at Clay Cafe! The venue is stunning. The painting section was impressively organized, clean, and tidy. The staff was awesome - everyone was warm, friendly, and super helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken salad, with the dressing being a highlight. Although the chicken was slightly dry, it didn't detract from my overall experience. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Clay Cafe - can't wait to come back!
