    The items we want to order was'nt available on the menu . Coffees was luke warm . Cheesecake we ordered was defnitely not fresh , scones tasted like that pre packed scones,our dining experience was really bad. Service was okay .

    I had a table booked for four at 13:00 in Klipkelder. We ordered the hand cut fries and the Picasso pizza. The fries were ok, although they were served slightly cold. The Picasso pizza was disappointing, as it had very little topping, only a small amount of grilled chicken and a very light sprinkling of feta cheese, which felt well below expectations based on the description. When it came time to choose and paint our pottery, there was no painting turntables available, anywhere. The service was disappointing from the start. Our waitress advised that she had been allocated to the outside tables and would therefore not be inside for most of the time, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. When our food arrived, we were not provided with serviettes, so I had to get up to fetch them myself, and we were also not given any cutlery, meaning I had to get up again to collect cutlery for the table. The experience became further frustrating when the bill arrived, as we were charged for items that we had not ordered, which I had to request be removed before we could settle the bill. This was not my first visit to Clay Café, and the group I was with had also been before, but on this occasion we all commented on the poor service. I do appreciate that it was a school holiday weekend and that the venue was very busy; however, if Clay Café is accepting a high volume of bookings, there should still be sufficient staff available to provide a basic level of service. While busy periods are expected, customers should not have to repeatedly fetch basic items themselves or struggle to get assistance. Overall, the combination of disappointing food, inattentive service, and operational oversights made for a far less enjoyable experience than expected.
