The Clay Cafe is a ceramic painting venue and restaurant. The activity makes for a memorable visit of creativity, art therapy and recreation for children and adults alike.

Summer Sunday Sessions

Join us for a lazy Sunday of good food, cool cocktails and ceramic painting while listening to local artists performing on our rolling lawns backdropped by our vineyards with views to Paarl rock. Event Costs: Cost of chosen ceramic item + R45 studio fee. A la carte menu available throughout the day.

    We really enjoyed our experience, thank you. We struggled a bit to get something to paint. There were people around us that also complained about it.

    Had the most incredible time at Clay Cafe! The atmosphere is so creative and relaxing. The staff were super helpful, and the food was just as good as the painting experience itself. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and explained the process clearly. There’s a huge selection of ceramics to choose from, and the paint colors are vibrant and easy to work with. The vibes are 10/10. Can’t wait to come back and pick up my masterpiece!

    Great first time experience and would definitely go again. You don't really go for the food, but the Pepper seared steak gourmet toastie I had was great and the chips you get with were fantastic! The painting was amazing and would recommend to anyone who wants to spend quality time with someone.
