    Cowfish was our "Go To celebration restaurant" for years. On 2 January I book all the dates for the coming year so my name is always top of the list. Yesterday was a complete mess, doubt that we will return to Cowfish again...my original booking was for 6pax but my 90yr old Mom in law and sister in law had to cancel due to her health...I did the correct thing advising Cowfish on their whatsapp line...we arrived at 12 just that they carried in a table and put it right in front of the frontdoor (very cold and windy in Jhb) with 2 chairs, then they scrambled for more chairs and brought us plastic chairs! I refused, luckily the table behind us left so I moved ud there...service was slow and food took forever to arrive. First time ever the service was shocking. They brought 2 thin slices of cheesecake as they probably read my face , knowing my disappointment etc. Maybe consider taking 15tables in every 20min that not everyone arrives at the same time. Every year they made effort handing out Mom Cookies...something that they had to order in advance...yesterday all the Moms got 2 sips (shot glass) of dry sparkling wine...no effort but last minute thrown together idea. Extremely unhappy how Mother's Day turned out with them.
