The views of Table Mountain and Cape Town from the long glass encased verandah of the De Grendel Tasting Lounge and Stoep are possibly the most spectacular of any wine farm in the Cape.     2nd visit to De Grendel. One of the most outstanding wine farms we have visited. Beautiful surroundings, excellent wine and cider, and delicious nibbles on offer. The staff are absolutely incredible, enthusiastic and knowledgable. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Cape Town, we will be sure to visit De Grendel.

    We had a great time at the end. Isabella was lovely in her presentation of De Grendel’s wine and Devon was very welcoming. Disappointed in your Managers attitude. Did not even tried at first to accommodate our request! I have booked a table near the fire place. Received a confirming WA. When we arrived we were told our booking does not show and that table is already booked and we got a table on another place that was not what we wanted. After insisting on our original booking we got it. Nobody showed up for that table in anyway for the 2hrs we spend there. What is the use of reserving a place if you can’t get it. Still a beautiful place to visit even though it was raining and started off wrong.
