    Very disappointing. We were visiting from Capetown and the reviews were very good so we booked well in advance . Staff were lovely , menu was lovely , the place itself in terms of ambiance needed work . Very bare but that could be just my opinion and is subjective . The food however was not good . The sirloin steak seemed to be a cheaper cut , dry , difficult to cut and very underwhelming. The lamb meatball were very dry , as if they had been sitting in the oven for far too long and presented on just the smallest amount dressing . The desert was equally underwhelming, a chocolate brownie. Overall a very disappointing experience. I would give it a miss as there are so many other choices in Stellenbosch.

    Dear Liana, we are distraught to read this and really sorry that this was your experience. Dry and difficult to cut steak is not the standard that comes out of our kitchen and we're really sorry that you may have just landed a bad cut - we will certainly address this with the kitchen and our meat supplier. The lamb meat balls usually come with a generous amount of the harissa and mint yogurt, and the chocolate brownie is a decadent piece of almost cake-like brownie, so something went very wrong in the kitchen on this night and for this we are very sorry. Everything will be addressed and dealt with accordingly. We are very thankful that you took the time to give us feedback - it is very important to us. We hope that one day, when you've tried all the amazing establishments in Stellenbosch, you'll give us another chance. Best regards, Candice

    Canidicr being there herself every night as the owner makes the restaurant 100 times better. The management and service is just on another level. The food is also amazing. Have eaten here a lot and will definitely even more in the future. Never had anything bad to eat there.
