    We had a lovely evening. Manager very accommodating as more arrived than booked. Waitress was excellent.

    De Warenmarkt offers an excellent dining experience inside a cozy, rustic atmosphere. Despite the high quality of the cuisine and atmosphere, the menu is not really any more expensive than most other restaurants in Stellenbosch and they’re definitely not skimpy on the portions. The customer service was excellent and very friendly, despite our rather stupid questions. The food took quite some time, which I didn’t mind as I was enjoying the company but I do feel the need to make mention of it here. The area is also quite safe and very close to a large, secure parking lot, which I mention as finding a parking space in downtown Stellenbosch on basically any night besides Monday can be a nightmare.

    We were meeting different people at different times and knew that this would be the perfect location as they have space and a varied menu. It was the perfect choice! We were able to have a lovely long lunch with family and friends coming and going and everyone loving their meal of choice. The staff were friendly and we had a very special day in Stellenbosch thanks to De Warenmarkt. Nothing was too much trouble including take-away sandwiches and coffee for those in a hurry.
