    Our first visit and definitely not our last the lovely lady who was just so full of life and fab at keeping us entertained. And David and Alex were both soooo 👍

    Unfortunately we were not advised when booking that their pizza offering was not available. This was the reason we went, and the remainder of the menu was too formal for us for Sat lunch. We therefore did not stay

    The weather was beautiful and we opted for a table outside on a covered patio with views of the garden. The food was excellent, both starters and main courses. We received good advice on the wine, which was delicious and not too expensive. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed lunch on a Thursday.

    We had a very bad experience at De Stoep on Friday 24 July. This is a restaurant that we have been to at least 4 times in the past year and have always really enjoyed the Food, Service and Ambience. However, when we arrived on Friday, we were told there were no Pizzas, as the Pizza Oven was broken. Also, no Pork Belly, no Calamari, no Prawn Risotto, etc, etc.... In other words, there was less than 1/2 of the Menu Items that were available, and we had checked the menu on the website before we booked. We had already ordered wine, so we paid for it and left as there was nothing on the menu that we fancied. The restaurant should have informed us when we booked that 1/2 the menu was not available. Unacceptable and we will not be back.
