Enjoy the flavours of the countryside and the relaxing farm ambiance in an old stable, restored with care by the Louw family, where they’ve been making wine for six generations. Here locally grown and regionally sourced produce inspire Chef Martin De Kock to blend his classical French training with the flavours of Provencal France, Spain and a touch of Asia. The herbs and some of the vegetables are from the kitchen garden, the preserves and pickles are home-made and the bread freshly baked. Diemersdal Farm Eatery is closed on Mondays.

I have coeliac disease, and emailed the restaurant in advance to see if they could cater for me and understood how easy it is to cross-contaminate. They were extremely helpful and seemed to understand and made great efforts to help me - I usually don't risk dining out. The weather was lovely so we sat outside and it was a delicious lunch. We had 3 tapas plates (bomba, duck and ceviche) and they made my chips in separate oil. They brought gluten-free bread on a wooden platter which could have been contaminated, but when I explained, they opened a new loaf and put it on a ceramic plate. My only criticism was the size of the portions for the price, but that's my usual complaint about tapas! I had a delicious chocolate dessert that was gluten-free. Thoroughly recommend.

Tapas menu on offer as the only option lacks content, over priced and not advisable, even for Winter
