    I really enjoyed the food, especially the main menu. The dessert and starter could have been better. As someone that doesn't drink I enjoyed the non-alcoholic beverages.

    The service was non-existent. We had booked a table on the terrace area. When we arrived there was no table set outside. An attendant hastily grabbed some placemats and cutlery and placed them on a table outside, no condiments, salt, pepper, butter, cups, milk, serviettes or glasses. We had to get up and fetch the missing things off another table from inside. The clearing of empty plates on our table was also tardy. We cannot understand the reason for the poor service as the venue was not even busy. The food had a good variety and was generally tasty and well displayed. However, the bacon looked and tasted like it had been cooked in its own juices, not crisply fried. The inclusion of fresh oysters and sparkling wine in the price provided value for money, however, the poor service (which in our opinion forms part of the 'value' score) was the reason for a mediocre 3-star value rating. Clearly the venue required serious supervision to ensure a seamless and enjoyable meal for diners. All in all, a disappointing dining experience to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.
