    The food was certainly good, however the choice was rather limited, specially for mains. It seems more like a lunch restaurant than a place for dinner. We prefer the menu that you have in the beginning of this year.

    An impromptu Monday evening meal with my mother (in her 80s), close to home, turned into a special occasion, thanks to the excellent service we experienced - from the moment we arrived to the final goodbye. The service was exceptional - each person we encountered went out of their way to make our experience special, comfortable, and delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. They also had a sound knowledge of the hotel and its amenities. We both felt like eating fish, and the only option on the menu was battered fish and chips. The kitchen happily produced grilled fish on request - a generous portion per serving, one with chips, the other with mash (other options included sweet potatoes, vegetables or salad). The interiors of the hotel are very stylish and atmospheric - we moved indoors when it became a little chilly outside on the beautiful terrace, from where you can enjoy the sunset overlooking indigenous fynbos gardens. The wine list is interesting and includes pages dedicated to locally sourced wines (from the farms neighbouring Erinvale, such as Vergelegen and Morgenster) as well as the hotel owner's wineries in South Africa. In summary, I rate Erinvale Hotel for its friendly, helpful, efficient service, and the quality and generosity of the food we enjoyed. The summer menu will be introduced very soon - a reason to return. Thank you!

    We were at the Wine Society. Food was nice but I only marked it as a four as there was no choice and some of the dishes weren't to my taste (the pear for example). Everything else was excellent.
