    We dined at the Oak Terrace, beautiful location...we tried the small plates coupled with the chicken livers and a chicken mayo toasted sandwich...the chicken livers perhaps could have had a bit more flavour but the chicken mayo was generous and tasty...the two small plates we had were the squid risotto and the salmon tartare which were both outstanding, with the tartare perhaps being the dish of the day. The downside were the wine prices which were, in our opinion, seriously over the top especially Vergelegen and Lourensford which are literally on the doorstep. This could be why the venue was very quiet and there were few locals to be seen...whereas all the other surrounding eateries were mostly fully booked that day...
