    I arranged a family lunch at Ethos in Rosebank on 11 July to celebrate my mom's birthday. When I made the online reservation, I requested a table for eight by the Olive Tree and explained that we had planned a very special surprise for her. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable. Our waiter, Clive, was exceptional. He accommodated every detail of our plan, ensuring everything happened seamlessly. My sister had flown in from Dubai less than 18 hours earlier and was hiding in the private room while our drinks were served. At just the right moment, Clive announced that there was a special surprise for my mom from Dubai. My sister then walked towards the table, hidden behind an enormous bouquet of flowers, before revealing herself. It was an incredibly emotional moment, and despite the restaurant being busy, we genuinely felt like we were the only people there. It was spectacular and a memory our family will treasure for years to come. The food was equally outstanding. Between us we enjoyed the lamb shank, gnocchi, fillet steak, spring chicken, short rib, and halloumi pasta, and every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Thank you to Clive and the entire Ethos team for making my mom's birthday so special. Your attention to detail, warmth, and genuine hospitality turned a wonderful lunch into an unforgettable family celebration. We can't wait to return.

    All good except the wine is now an issue. You can't get a glass of wine under R 125-00 / glass & the HER Brand on the Wine List is not in the cellar. ???

    I had a great time at ethos the service was amazing and the restaurant itself is beautiful and warm with gas heaters. I had a great time especially by the bar couches it’s so private and cozy. I’m def visiting again.
