    Ordered a medium well fillet and came an almost well done one. No flavours on the roast vegetables and the presentation was just not up to standard

    Firelake is well situated for a beautiful view out at the ocean. We were one of very few tables occupied for lunch, however service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed reluctant to serve, when we asked for the dessert menu she brought us the bill. We said we didn't ask for the bill and to please provide dessert menus. Then a few minutes later, when we ordered dessert and received it, we were just about to start enjoying dessert the she asked us if she can bring us the bill because she's moving off her shift. This explained the rushed service throughout when we were planning a leisurely end of year lunch. In terms of meals: 2 at our table ordered the chicken wings starter. On the menu description it said wings served with a potato nest - when it came there was none. We asked where it was and she said the kitchen staff decided to substitute it with a drizzle of chimichurri sauce instead. My colleague said she actually wanted the potato bits, and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders. The lamb pizza sounded great on the menu, including a yoghurt sauce, when it arrived, again non yoghurt sauce - It was literally a Margherita pizza with a single cube of lamb on each slice with some coriander. Perhaps this was because pizzas were half price on Thursdays. My salmon was cooked perfectly and my colleague enjoyed her seafood platter for 1 (although the rice side dish was undercooked and dry). Other colleague enjoyed her seafood pasta main.

    We made a reservation approx 10days prior ,our table was not set ,no place mats no napkins etc. We were literally the only patrons at lunch time and Service was very slow..This was not the 5star experience we expected, which was quite dissapointing.
