    Called the restaurant to let them know i would like to come at around 1pm for lunch on the 10th Aug. Was told by the gentlemen that I shouldn't as they are full for the day and cant accept walk ins. I then booked via their reservation platform and was able to book for 2 ppl at 1:30pm. When we got there we noticed that walk ins were being seated so not sure why we were advised otherwise. Then we ordered our food and waited 50 minutes for the food. My eggs were cold and the bread not toasted, it was soft and soggy. Some of the food in my plate was hot and some food was cold. Ordered the Mediterranean breakfast. Then the worst was we ordered 2 orange juices. Horrible juice and not even freshly squeezed juice for R54 a glass. What an absolute shameful rip off. Been a few times and this was the worst experience by far. Everything on the menu is so overpriced and not worth the money.

    The service was a bit slow. We waited a while or order drinks. Then another while for food. However the waiter was lovely.

    The food was good however the manager seated 2 ladies a while after we were seated, faffed around them & clearly pushed their order to the front regardless of patrons who had reservations & arrived before them. Our booking was for 2pm. We arrived just before that. Waited about 5-10min to be seated. These ladies arrived well after us & received their food at 1442. We received our food well after 3pm. It was a not a good look for the manager & it was not a stretch to imagine why he prioritized them above other patrons. He also only checked with their table if everything was ok (constantly). This left a sour taste & I don’t think we will go back in a hurry.

    Every time I go to Florentin I’m blown away. Everything from the service, to the food, drinks and atmosphere make it one of my favorite restaurants in Cape Town.

    The veg was fresh, food was tasty, and the atmosphere was lovely, it all came together perfectly. The staff were super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I'd go back to!
