Nestled at the foot of our majestic mountains, in the leafy suburb of Newlands, Cape Town, Foresters Arms Restaurant and Pub (fondly referred to by the locals as Forries), is one of the oldest pubs in South Africa and provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

    Always an excellent Sunday lunch. Most of our group had the roast and one can choose either from a standard portion of meat (weighed) or a large for the very hungry. it is real home cooked quality and the best thing is that they also cater for vegetarians with generous portions of various vegetables

    W3 had 5 bees flying at our table and the food - burger and lamb burger were dry. Kids food is very expensive and offering was poor. the lunch for my 2 small kids and I was not worth the money I spent.

    Lovely Birthday evening out with mates. Having lived in the UK and only recently moved to Cape Town, it's so cool to have what feels like an authentic British style pub just down the road.

    The 'inside' seating area could benefit from a warmer temperature during the winter months. It should not be necessary to have to keep your 'jacket' on whilst having your lunch, especially for older guests; who makeup a good percentage in number. Thanks.
