Nestled at the foot of our majestic mountains, in the leafy suburb of Newlands, Cape Town, Foresters Arms Restaurant and Pub (fondly referred to by the locals as Forries), is one of the oldest pubs in South Africa and provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

    Didn't use the toilets. We enjoyed the nachos, bangers & mash, beef burger & fish & chips, together with beer & wine. Waitrons were attentive without being annoying! Great evening.

    Great venue to watch the rugby with friends,whilst having a great meal.May your establishment still be going in another 170 years time. Lorenco,the floor manager,was terrific!

    This is a landmark and is a greasy place to go. I had the Eisbein for Sunday lunch and it was great. The menu provides a good selection of food. We booked a table in the garden middle sector, on the edge. Great vibe.
