Genki Sushi is situated in the heart of Stellenbosch, and opened its doors in 2009. Sit under the oaks and enjoy the freshest sushi and Japanese Tapas in our beautiful courtyard setting. At Genki we only use the freshest sustainable fish and seafood. We offer a wide selection of dishes, with our Japanese influenced menu, from Sushi to Izakaya bar style items.

    Waiter was very absent. We initially sat for 15 minutes before any waiter came to us. I had to signal to a waiter that we want to order drinks. I don't think the waiter who's table it was knew we were there. We ordered 3 tapas for starters and wanted to order more. After we finished the tapas the waiter was absent again so I eventually had to stand up and find our waiter to order sushi as I was worried it would arrive much later. This is then what happened and caused the 2nd meal to arrive very late as I think the kitchen was then busy too. There was a 1 hour gap between the dishes. Ideally we would have wanted them 20-30mins apart with the waiter helping us to promptly order them.
