Gerakaris Family Wines was founded in 2009 by Kath Gerakaris. Our boutique winery in the heart of Craighall Park, Jozi, produces wines from grapes sourced from a single farm in the Swartland, Western Cape. Five wines are made by winemaker Kath Gerakaris. Two Chenin blancs and three Syrahs.

Wine tastings are R150 person. We also serve a cheese board designed to match our wines, show casing four South African cheese producers, and bowls of Cape Olives. We have a small garden and we like it this way because we can chat to everyone about what we do… however it does mean weekends get busy and you need to make a booking ahead of time.

Our wine tastings take from half an hour to an hour and a half depending on the size of your group. We therefore reserve your table for a maximum of 2 hours.

    Light, fresh easy drinking wine. Nice cheese platter paired to the wines and also wagyu biltong. All served and explained very well in the beautiful oaselike garden. A 100% recommendable experience.

    It was my 70th Birthday celebration with 7 of my best lady friends the warmest welcome the ambience and the total presentation was absolutely fabulous and stunning. Thank you for a fabulous day thoroughly enjoyed by everyone a real hidden gem.

    Absolutely excellent service, nice wines and lovely atmosphere. Loses one star for ambience for the quality of the toilets, which were poor (broken seat in gents, hazard tape on window, generally not pleasant!). Would definitely come again though
