Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    One of the best restaurants I’ve visited in terms of ambience and service. I must mention you do get lost finding the place when you’ve used uber to get there.

    The place looked great and the service was greater I really enjoyed the food and the jazzy vibe of the place.everything was esthetically pleasing.

    We had a wonderful evening EXCEPT that our food took 2 hrs to get to our table. It was not the waiters' fault; it was the kitchen. This is really unacceptable. It was Tuesday night. Eating at 9.30pm with a 7pm booking is crazy. If it weren't for the atmosphere, location, and delightful waiter, we probably would have left.

    Great place for a drink, good staff on the restaurant floor but no idea what is going on in their kitchen. Our food took over an hour to arrive. They ‘didn’t have enough lamb’ 30 mins after our order, they ‘didn’t have enough chips’ with a burger about 1hr after our order. Really disappointed with the food.

    Lovely setting, enjoyed the sour hour special on cocktails and food was yummy too. We will be back next time we are in Cape Town!
