Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    Service wasn't great. Drink orders came back wrong on 3 occasions. There was mold on the fruit used in one of the drinks. Service charge was included in the bill and our waitress seemed annoyed at the fact that I did not click onto an optional 10% increase on the already existing service charge (Which was R800 already). Food wasn't great as I heard a few people complain about it.

    We waited for an hour to get our food, the lady that was helping us took our order 2 times, meaning she was not paying attention and did not place our order with the kitchen in time

    The drinks were cute and amazing, however the stuff members were way too much in our space with my girlfriends, one even took a glass that my friend was still using. We were not allowed to take pictures in the actual rooftop which takes away from the experience imagine!?

    Spectacular venue, view, outdoor feel and architectural detail and design and Dimitrio our waiter was superb! The melanzane and cauliflower dishes were THE BEST! Wow! We will definitely be back.. Thank you

    We had the prawn risotto (7/10) which is a generous rating as the prawns were few and far in between & overcooked. The line fish/mussel combo 6/10, again fish was overcooked. The waguy burger 8/10 was the best meal. Fries 10/10. Drinks 10/10. Ambience is what I'll go back for.
