Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    We won’t be back. We booked for 20 people, We let the restaurant know we’re running a little late because our driver had car problems on the way to us, they said that’s fine but the time will be deducted from the three hours we have so we’ll now have maybe 2 and 1/2 hrs. This was the first we heard about a time limit. We had preselected three courses per person and sent to them in advance 2 and a half hrs in we hadn’t even received our main meal, we were told we would be ‘ALLOWED’ to sit at the table for longer because they hadn’t served our meals yet. The food was average at best and very overpriced, steak was overcooked . The staff tried and were friendly but we had to eventually cancel desert and go because our car service was booked and couldn’t wait any longer - this was over an hour later than the original time given. We went home and served desert to our guests at home. Great decor but we won’t be back.

    An amazing experience! Good food, service (Amber assisting us, was sooo friendly) and a cozy atmosphere, especially for a cold rainy day. Absolutely loved it and thank you again for making my birthday celebration special!!!!
