Gigi Rooftop is a buzzing restaurant and bar located on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel. The bar has everything from signature cocktails, to age-old classics, both being meticulously crafted by their in-house mixologists. The restaurant serves a take on modern classics, but with a focus on seasonality and sustainability, think casual cuisine but with a twist! They believe knowing where our food comes from is as important as the food itself, with attention being placed on local, ethically-sourced produce from artisanal cheese, pasture-reared beef to fully-traceable and line-caught fish. The vibe is infectious, join for lunch, stay for dinner, with live music and DJ’s almost every day of the week. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited.

    We love everything about GiGi's rooftop restaurant and bar, the food is fresh and made with good quality ingredients, the best we've had whilst we're in Cape Town for 2 months. The steak was beautifully cooked and melted in my mouth, the chips are unique and the peppercorn sauce lifted the flavours. I added a side salad and was not disappointed with fresh salad and parmasan shavings - nothing was left on my plate! I've tried the mussels on previous visit and they are sweet and plump like I've never had before, accompanied by a lovely sourdough for mopping up. The ambience at GiGi's is divine, so much to look at and take in with great views over the neighbours or just take in the artwork and hanging plants. One day we'll remember to sit in the deck and relax but I intend to visit many more times until I go home! Thanks go to great staff for their attentive secure, Ayabonge always happy to see us and keeps the wine on ice and topped up. Looking forward to my return visit to try more of the menu 😉

    Me and my partner enjoyed a very pleasant and tasty dinner at GiGi restaurant on 16th of March 2026. The staff was welcoming, flexible and friendly. They allowed us to choose a different table, which made us enjoy more our dinner. About the food....EXCELLENT!! Its so difficult to even describe it behond excellent. I had the Lamb with creamy samp, traditional samp from South Africa, It was very tasty, creamy and full of flavour. My complements to the chef, rest of staff and the supervisor. We loved his recommendations, short talk and sympathy
