At Gioia—which means “joy” in Italian—we believe dining is about more than just great food. It’s about shared moments, laughter, and connection. From our roots as Tei Avon, a Mediterranean bistro, to the beloved Italian restaurant and gathering place we’ve become, family has always been at the heart of our story.

Located just above the Zoo Lake Sports Club in Parkwood, Gioia & Tei Avon is a welcoming escape from the everyday.     We recently hosted a small gathering to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, and I couldn't have been happier with our experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the setup was exactly what we had hoped for, and the attention to detail really made the occasion feel special. What stood out most, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the event, making sure everything ran smoothly and that all of our guests were well taken care of. Thank you for helping make such an important milestone so memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both special occasions and a great dining experience.

    What a lovely experience!!!! It was absolutely delightful to celebrate our daughter’s 5th birthday at Gioia. Excellent service! The place was so lovely for be kids too!

    great experience at Gioia / Tei Avon. Loved the play area and the waiters were extremely friendly which was welcomed. We will definitely be visiting here again in future. Possibly one of the nicest experiences with restaurants that are child friendly.
