Welcome to GOLD Restaurant where dining is a celebration of food, flavours, family and friends, accompanied by live entertainment. Come and celebrate with us.

While honouring African culinary traditions we combine these with modern flavours and techniques to serve up a sophisticated African feast that we change seasonally.

African food is traditionally shared and enjoyed with family and friends. Similarly, our 14-dish tasting menu is served in generous individual and shared portions. Each dish is brought to your table with country of origin, cooking techniques and spicing explained. All our Halaal-certified meat, poultry and fish dishes come with vegetarian or vegan substitutes. Please inform us of your dietary preferences when booking so that we can adjust accordingly.

Family is central to African culture and children are welcome. There is no dress code and were open 7 days a week. We welcome walk-ins when capacity allows but we cannot guarantee availability, so we urge you to pre-book.

    We recently had the pleasure of visiting Gold restaurant as part of an educational trip, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. At the restaurant, the manager personally came to our table, introduced themselves, and made us feel welcome. The service from the servers was exceptional — warm, attentive, and professional. A special thank you to the servers who looked after us; your names and care won’t be forgotten. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was full of flavor — it was literally blasting on our tastebuds. You could taste the passion and quality in every bite, and it gave us a true sense of what our guests will experience when they dine there. The atmosphere at all the venues was excellent. There was great music throughout, ,which made the experience even more memorable. At the end, the servers bid us goodbye with the same warmth they welcomed us with — it felt personal and genuine. We enjoyed ourselves immensely at the restaurant. It was an amazing time, and we left with a much better understanding of what makes these places special for guests.

    The menu has changed since our last visit, and the food was absolutely amazing. There is something for everyone, and if you have friends who don't eat meat or prawns, there are excellent substitute options available. The staff are full of enthusiasm and really add to the experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, with drumming at the beginning of the evening and ending with guests dancing on the stage. It was a fun, vibrant, and memorable night out. A great evening out that I would highly recommend!

    We had the best time! I believe our server’s name was Sewi (spelling?) but she was so lovely. The staff acknowledged our anniversary and my husband’s birthday. We thought the food and entertainment were top notch! Highly recommend!

    We love the experience, if I have to say something, I will recommend a little option in case are some small kids that probably will not eat that food, something plain. We loved the experience!

    South African tomato soup was my favorite! Everything was so good though. Loved experiencing so many different flavors. The drumming experience was so much fun! Highly recommend, never experienced anything like it before and will probably never again.
