Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    Good to gather is a hidden gem! What a privilege to experience Jess' culinary skills. Honest, authentic dishes prepared with love. Each dish a harmonious symphony of tastes. The setting under the cork oak trees makes it Tuscany in Stellenbosch.

    Good to Gather is where slow cooking, long lazy meals and good company meet. The food is prepared with love, the produce carefully selected, and the atmosphere is super chilled. It doesn’t feel like going to a restaurant but more like spending an afternoon at a good friend’s lovely farm while enjoying their very impressive cooking skills. We go as often as we can and only share it with the bestest of friends.
