Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    Had the most amazing meal here with my husband and friends. The focaccia was so good, the cheese soufflé was meltingly delicious, and the lamb was full of flavor. The absolute highlight was the dark chocolate tart for dessert, which was incredible. Amazing meal and great service! Will definitely be back!

    The food was absolutely awesome 😍🙌 So, so good! If only I could’ve had that whole bowl of dessert to myself 😂🍨 That was definitely the highlight for me. I’m a proper dessert guy, and it ended the evening off with such a smile on my face 😄 Outstanding food all around 👏 We’ll definitely be back again!

    Absolutely worth the wait. From the moment we arrived on a chilly autumn day, Good to Gather felt warm, cosy, and welcoming. The service was attentive and genuinely lovely throughout, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special. Chef Jess’s food was exceptional — every dish absolutely delicious and completely faultless. You can taste the love, care, and incredible understanding of flavour in every bite. Beautifully balanced, thoughtful cooking that feels both comforting and refined. A truly memorable dining experience and one we’ll be thinking about for a long time. Cannot wait to return in the summer.

    The lunch was so delicious! Everything from the soufflés to the main It’s was a memorable meal The problem is one can never get a table !!! The desserts were scrumptious. Jess is a brilliant chef ! And the staff are so attentive.

    A tranquil space where you can feel the love the moment you step in. The food is exceptional- every bite is full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend Good to Gather fir a memorable dining experience.
