Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    Luke & his team never seem to drop their guard. My 3rd visit in the past 12 months and there is always something different on their fixed/surprise menu. fantastic flavours and a cool wine selection to match. has to be the best winelands experience in South Africa !!!

    Absolutely lovely afternoon, delicious food and beautiful setting. Great wine/drinks list and wonderful coffee to close. We loved talking a pre-dessert wander through the vegetable and flower gardens. My one gripe is that I would have loved more of an introduction to the ethos, approach and philosophy of the ingredients and menu - I was left explaining to my guests myself. Our first course also came out while we were still busy with the bread course (I assume because it was very time sensitive souffle) but it would have been nice ot have had more of a break between those.

    A fabulous dining experience. Unpretentious, with great quality, locally sourced food, over a long lazy lunch at tables in the shade of oak trees. Lovely.
