Located on the biodynamic Rozendal Farm and Vinagrier in Stellenbosch, Good to Gather is a convivial, intimate restaurant owned by husband-and-wife duo Luke Grant and Jess Shepherd. In summer, sit outside in the gorgeous courtyard under the oak trees, in colder months the dining takes place in the Vinegar Tasting Room warmed by a wood burning stove, with views of the cellar filled with the farms botanical infused red wine vinegars. The three course farm to table menu changes weekly, and incorporates seasonal ingredients locally sourced from small-scale farmers.

    We had the most perfect lunch day out with friends - they have been dying to try Good to Gather and were so thrilled with everything. Every dish was perfection and we can’t wait to dine there again!

    Our group of 4 encountered nothing but excellence from the minute we arrived. The welcome, ambience, comfort and warmth from a roaring fire all set the tone for an absolutely world class meal. Each course was explained in detail, food sensitivities catered to with so much thought and care and the tastes just blew us away. Portions were extremely generous and we were treated to a beautifully curated wine list and a careful selection of non alcoholic drinks as well. We left after dessert with great reluctance but very happy hearts after an absolutely unmissable experience. It was a faultless experience and we are still raving about every detail. Hats off and huge respect to Jess, Luke and your wonderful staff.

    Good To Gather is always an incredibly special experience. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the setting is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are kind and helpful. We always look forward to a Good To Gather meal. Thank you, Jess & Luke and the rest of the team!
