Our venue lends itself to all types of functions and events. You have absolute free rein over theme, design, layout, menu, format, etc.

    We have a wonderful experience at Ground. A special place and lovely picnic areas to choose from. Picnic boxes are excellent but a little overpriced. The grounds are beyond beautiful and the barmen were very helpful and friendly.

    A Cape Town vineyard right in our very own backyard. While the setting is beautiful and the picnic basket was thoughtfully and beautifully curated, there is definite room for improvement in the overall experience. The service could be improved, and I was under the impression that the picnic basket would be finalised with us in the morning, which did not happen. This created some confusion and is an area that could benefit from better communication. The welcome was underwhelming, and while I had specified that it was my partner’s birthday, there was no acknowledgement of the special occasion. Offering the option to indicate a special occasion feels meaningless if it is not recognised in any way. With a few adjustments to service, communication, and guest experience, this could be a truly exceptional offering.

    Unfortunately due to rain we had to be moved indoors, however venue is beautiful and the bar staff were super friendly!
