    This was a really beautiful picnic experience. The food was 10/10. Service was excellent. Thank you Brighton for such great service!! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ground the Venue and highly recommend it. Will definitely be back.

    Had a Boschendal picnic -Mexican box 🥂🍾.The food was well and freshly prepared,good food 🍱 .It’s totally an amazing space to relax and just unwind .It was just a beautiful day 🌤️🪻🌾 to be outdoors .The team was so kind and very helpful .Absolute value for money if you ask me .

    We love the Ground and we've been to several events there, Mother's Day was unfortunately not the great experience we were used to. The music was extremely loud. Loud music is not keeping in line with the spirit of a mother's day lunch. All around us, we saw people having to shout simply to have a conversation. We asked that the music be turned down, but we were ignored.

    The food was average for a Mother’s Day set menu, dessert was much better. There was a table salad mentioned on the menu but it wasn’t served. The venue is beautiful.

    We attended the Mother’s Day event on Sunday, 10 May, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing from the outset. Upon arrival, we waited approximately 15 minutes before being assigned a waiter. While the venue itself is very pretty, the acoustics were extremely poor, and we were seated at a table in the corner with no natural light, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. In addition, only alcoholic welcome drinks were available, with no non-alcoholic option for children, which seemed particularly inappropriate given that it was a Mother’s Day event where many families with children were expected to attend. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful; however, he had been assigned tables on the opposite side of the venue, which meant we often had to ask other waiters to locate him whenever we required assistance. The food itself was average, and after finishing a bottle of wine, we requested wine by the glass but were informed that this was not available. We also advised our waiter, when requesting the bill, that we had a long drive ahead and asked whether our dessert could be packed as a takeaway. After checking with the kitchen, he informed us that this would not be possible because the main courses were still being served. Considering the price paid for the event, we expected a far better experience. Overall, we found the event to be poorly organised and not good value for money.
