We went for lunch and were given the option to order à la carte, which was just what we needed. The sommelier was especially knowledgable and fun to chat with. Highly recommend!

What an unexpected surprise this place was. We booked it because the spot we wanted to go to was full. We did not regret it at all. The place is well decorated, ambiance is just is point. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, thank you Patience who waited on us. The food was on point, every dish was an explosion of flavor. The panacotta dessert was the best I had ever had. Already planning on going back with my partner. Loved it, worth it.

Wow Grub & Vine is a must when in Cape Town. The food is exceptional paired well with fabulous wines but the staff is an all star from our host, to wait staff to the manager, they are attentive without over bearing and accommodating allowing us to have a fantastic candle lit dinner on our last night in Cape Town. Highly recommended

We attended the Newton Johnson Meet the Makers wine pairing at Grub and Vine, not only was it really great to hear about the wonderful wines on offer directly from Bevan, but Matt also really allowed them to shine with his flawless pairings and delicious menu - the stand out dishes being the trout and onion course. 10/10!

Our lunch started great with friends and good food, until chaos erupted. The owner was screaming and throwing things, completely ruining the vibe. We tried to talk to him, waited 25 minutes, but he ignored us. The staff were clearly stressed, and it was uncomfortable for everyone. No apology, no explanation, just disrespect. It's one thing to have a bad day, but ruining everyone else's? Not okay. I felt for the staff and us, the patrons. Sadly, I won't be returning. Such a disappointment when a nice outing turns sour because of unnecessary drama.

The ambiance was fun, but the food really missed the mark.
