    While the food was good and we had a great waiter, the hostess made a very bad first impression. Even after the booking had been made a month prior, with a follow-up email and call to confirm a table with a view, she was quick to seat us at the small 'back' part of the restaurant next to a wall. It was only after complaining that we were moved to the nicer area, which, surprisingly, had several free tables. May your hostess be reminded not to judge a book by its cover because first impressions make a lasting impression.

    Firstly the restaurant’s position is a standout. It’s just amazing and we had a great table. BUT… the experience was dented by the poor service. We did not seem to have dedicated waitress and instead had to ask for menus, wine list, to take our order, to order desert etc. in short – it felt like we were attended to (if asked) by anyone who walked past. Even getting the bill I had to ask 3 different people (and eventually stood up and went to the bar until I got some attention). As for the food – the oysters were fantastic but the signature dish Sea bass (which most of us ordered) was lack lustre and the risotto was under cooked and just very bland.

    very lovely creative fish dishes. all beautifully presented, however my cob with mash and salsa verde was overcooked and dry. seems fish was cooked before and then warmed up!! suggest fish must not be overcooked then dish would be perfect. all other guests enjoyed their sea bass - also slightly overcooked.
