Heirloom Restaurant at Cape Grace offers a refined expression of South African culinary heritage in the heart of the V&A Waterfront. Inspired by local flavours, seasonal produce and the stories that shape Cape Town and its people, each dish reflects a thoughtful balance between tradition and contemporary technique.

Mornings begin with an elegant breakfast experience, featuring a generous buffet and refined à la carte selection. On weekends, guests are invited to linger longer with breakfast served until 12pm — an indulgent start to slow Cape Town mornings overlooking the marina. By day, Heirloom is a relaxed yet polished destination for lunch in Cape Town, before transitioning into an intimate setting for dinner, where comforting, nostalgic flavours are reimagined with modern finesse.

Defined by attentive service and understated elegance, Heirloom is a signature Cape Grace dining experience, designed to be savoured and returned to.

Thank you to the wonderful team at Heirloom for a truly fantastic dinner experience. The warm hospitality of Asanda, Armand, Leah and Chef Alex was so appreciated, and Chef Nokx’s Beef Wellington was incredible! From beginning to end, every detail made the evening feel special and created such wonderful memories.

We booked for the Winter Lunch Special at Heirloom. I booked a few weeks in advance and paid a deposit via Dineplan. We went to Bascule Bar for a drink first and had amazing service and a great experience. When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff did not have our table ready and didn't know what was going on. They eventually got the table together after I complained. The food was not of the standard that we expected. The Cauliflower soup was tasty but it was such a small portion and too much coconut in the soup. We had the Chicken curry which was dry and completely tasteless. One of our party had the springbok and it was also dry and tasteless. We had to ask 3 times for a salt cellar because the ones they gave us didn't work. This is not the experience we expected from The Cape Grace Hotel and it definitely was not the standard of a 5 star hotel.

The floral arrangements are beautiful; the framed handwork also - however the style of furnishing is (for my eye) 'austere'...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AN ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL EVENING What an AMAZING evening at the Four-Hands Dinner with the incredibly talented Chef Nokx Majozi & Chef Wesli Jacobs. From the welcome glass of Cap Classique through to the final mille-feuille milk tart, the entire experience was quite exceptional. I absolutely loved the creativity behind every course & the attention to every little detail — the beautiful crockery, gorgeous cutlery, fabulous ambience & wonderfully attentive staff all contributed to making the evening feel incredibly special. The food was beautifully presented & full of imagination. And the Wagyu Beef Wellington… WOW! The beef was cooked to absolute perfection, so beautifully tender it quite literally melted in your mouth — absolutely sublime. At just R1,500 per head for an experience of this calibre, I genuinely thought it represented extraordinary value — probably some of the best value fine dining I’ve experienced. And then, to top off an already fabulous evening, Chef Nokx came out to introduce herself to her waiting fans — such a warm & gracious finishing touch to a truly memorable experience. I bought Chef Nokx’s book, which she very kindly signed for a dear friend of mine who is also a talented chef - such a lovely personal touch & a wonderful memento of the evening. Chef Nokx, you most definitely have a new fan! ❤️ I’m already counting down the days until I visit you again at Fallow in London & experience more of your extraordinary creativity…… A truly fabulous evening from beginning to end & one I would recommend in a heartbeat. BRAVO Chef Nokx, Chef Wesli & the entire team! 👏👏👏🥂🍾❤️
