    We had the most wonderful 50th wedding anniversary family lunch at Helena’s. It has such old school charm with such finesse. The treat is the fact that you are not rushed, not forced to hurry and the lounge is a real treat! One of our favorites in Stellenbosch - we will be back!!

    Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, what a blessing and treat on a Sunday afternoon on the patio. The food was fantastic, prepared with great care and affection. When your husband comments, "Allright, allright, you have now said that it is delicious three times", you know the meal has hit home!

    The restaurant was really really busy and the service was very slow, but it was redeemed by the excellent food, the fact that you could actually enjoy the company and not feel too rushed.

    We opted for the Winter Special, which was a rich oxtail over creamy mashed potatoes with a glass of Cab Sav for R195. The meal was delicious and great value for money. Perfect for a rainy day. I was really impressed with the complimentary glass of bubbles for the table as we were celebrating a birthday. Big ups for being able to offer chicken strips and chips for our toddler son. Friendly and attentive staff, cozy interiors.

    Food was good but the service was non-existence. Very slow and they were the only ones in the restaurant.
