Walking into Henri’s, you’ll be greeted by the owner, Pierre and his staff, who will treat you like guests in our own home.

Henri’s combines an inspired menu with a casually sophisticated setting in a heritage house conveniently situated on Somerset West Main Road. We also welcome larger groups, our top floor has been renovated and can be used for private functions. Our inviting, comfortable dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a great meal.

Our menu can be described as comfort food with a modern global influence. We are well known for our aged grass-fed beef as well as the freshest local seafood. Alongside our à la carte menu, we offer a light lunch menu during the day and also have a kiddies menu. We also serve homemade, thin based pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

You can enjoy a drink on our patio or at our beautiful bar, we offer a wide selection of craft and imported beers. The wine list offers a variety of wine by the glass, but patrons are welcome to bring their own wine, as we don’t charge corkage for tables of less than 8 guests. Thereafter corkage of R45 per 750ml bottle applies.

    We decided yesterday on Henri's here in Somerset West because my wife has had fabulous lamb chops there before and that's what she felt like. Well the chops, ordered medium with crispy fat, were nice but the fat could have been cooked a little more. I had decided on a steak, but the waitress tempted me by saying the kingklip was fresh, so that's what I ordered. The menu says it's served with a leek and spring onion mash, but the reality tasted like just mashed potatoes. The kingklip was pleasant but could have done with some oomph. To finish we felt like some kind of chocolate (what else?) so from the choice of fondant, mousse or tart, we chose tart. I was expecting a softer tart made with dark chocolate, but it wasn't. All in all we were a little disappointed because we had high expectations. It is over a year since we've been to Henri's and it might be another year before we go again. One of the benefits of Henri's is no corkage on your own wine.

    Henris is consistently excellent. The menu is diverse, but all dishes are executed so well. Fantastic steaks, seafood desserts to boot.
