Walking into Henri’s, you’ll be greeted by the owner, Pierre and his staff, who will treat you like guests in our own home.

Henri’s combines an inspired menu with a casually sophisticated setting in a heritage house conveniently situated on Somerset West Main Road. We also welcome larger groups, our top floor has been renovated and can be used for private functions. Our inviting, comfortable dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a great meal.

Our menu can be described as comfort food with a modern global influence. We are well known for our aged grass-fed beef as well as the freshest local seafood. Alongside our à la carte menu, we offer a light lunch menu during the day and also have a kiddies menu. We also serve homemade, thin based pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

You can enjoy a drink on our patio or at our beautiful bar, we offer a wide selection of craft and imported beers. The wine list offers a variety of wine by the glass, but patrons are welcome to bring their own wine, as we don’t charge corkage for tables of less than 8 guests. Thereafter corkage of R45 per 750ml bottle applies.

    The Eisbein was cooked to perfection with the crispiest crispy skin. My dining partner's kingklip apparently melted in her mouth. The service was attentive, but not overwhelming

    We had an outstanding experience at Henri’s Restaurant and Wine Bar. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. It was our son’s birthday and the chef presented the dessert beautifully, just as we asked for and more. We can’t recommend the testau highly enough.

    A great example of fine dining in Somerset West. Ordering from the set menu, each of us sampled a different starter and main . . . the Crème Brûlée was a no-brainer. Every dish was a delight with adequate portion sizes seasoned perfectly. Our Waitron was attentive, humorous and knowledgeable about the dishes We will most certainly be back

    We had a wonderful experience at Henri's Restaurant celebrating my son's birthday. From the moment we arrived, the ambience was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special evening. What really stood out was the owner, who personally welcomed us and made a point of checking on guests throughout the evening to ensure everyone was happy. That level of care and attention is rare and made us feel truly valued. The customer service was top-tier, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was well prepared and full of flavour. Thank you to the entire team for making our celebration so memorable. We will definitely be back!
