Walking into Henri’s, you’ll be greeted by the owner, Pierre and his staff, who will treat you like guests in our own home.

Henri’s combines an inspired menu with a casually sophisticated setting in a heritage house conveniently situated on Somerset West Main Road. We also welcome larger groups, our top floor has been renovated and can be used for private functions. Our inviting, comfortable dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a great meal.

Our menu can be described as comfort food with a modern global influence. We are well known for our aged grass-fed beef as well as the freshest local seafood. Alongside our à la carte menu, we offer a light lunch menu during the day and also have a kiddies menu. We also serve homemade, thin based pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

You can enjoy a drink on our patio or at our beautiful bar, we offer a wide selection of craft and imported beers. The wine list offers a variety of wine by the glass, but patrons are welcome to bring their own wine, as we don’t charge corkage for tables of less than 8 guests. Thereafter corkage of R45 per 750ml bottle applies.

    Thank you Henri’s for a truly outstanding dining experience, as 5 star rated in every aspect, the tone was set by the warmest of welcomes from Henri, the quality of our meals along with the presentation, good value, warm efficient service from Kelly who had a commendable knowledge of wines and speciality meals of the day, we also appreciated our outside round table location which we had dined at on our previous visit which added to the relaxing and enjoyable ambience. We all hope to be back soon before flying back to the U.K. Having made our reservation for four on line before flying out to South Africa we were also impressed by the professional aspect of the booking process, we received a prompt confirmation by email and text as well as a reminder of our reservation the day before in which we were able to confirm our appointment.

    This restaurant is a little gem! My wife noticed it when we were heading to a nearby pub/restaurant to watch the rugby. We didn’t need to book, although it’s wise to do so in peak season. The ambience of the place is great. We sat inside to eat, but there was also a very nice garden patio dining area. The food was amazing – you have to try the Panko Prawns starter – they are out of this world. The waiters/waitresses were very good - attentive but not obtrusive. The food was so good, that we came back twice! Thank you.
