We have created a delicious menu that is not only inspired by the Belgians but also incorporates our core range of beers. We also cater for vegetarians and for children.
Our restaurant is designed to offer an up-close experience of our brewhouse whilst you sip our on our beers. We offer beer tastings as well as tap beer by the glass. We take an educative stance when explaining our beers and the processes involved. Want to learn a thing or two about beer making? Visit our taproom and feel free to ask as many questions as possible. Our goal is to educate you.

Very disappointing. Had to ask for/look for our waitron continuously. Food all came out at different times. Some meals completed before other members even received theirs. Mushroom sauce and vegetables delivered but no steak. When steak eventually arrived, about 20 minutes later, it was raw and had to be sent back although medium rare was requested. Burgers also completely raw- both had to go back and then came back almost in exactly the same state. Drinks never arrived and had to be requested numerous times. Manager was eventually called and she apologised and took one burger off the menu. Have been to Hey Joes frequently, even had a family member get married there, and this was our first disappointing experience. Although it was Fathers Day, the restaurant was not full and there seemed to be plenty of staff floating around.

Lovely, quiet afternoon spent at Hey Joe. Beer is fabulous, outside garden was lovely and quiet, and our doggy enjoyed himself too. The only reason why I'm not giving four or five stars for my overall rating is that the online menu does not match the menu provided at the brewery, and the food was not particularly impressive for the price. We drove through from Somerset West because of the two vegan options, one being the vegan hot dogs, which we both wanted to have. When we arrived, we were told that they were taken off the menu a long time ago. The only other vegan option was the chickpea burger, and at R175 it was completely average. The cauliflower tacos were tasty, but had splotches of mayonnaise on them, which we don't think was vegan mayo, so we had to left all of that off. So on the food side, it was really disappointing. But other than that, I'd go there for a beer, and maybe some chips, but if you want to pay a high price ticket for an average vegan meal, I wouldn't recommend.
