Imagine savoury treats such as the Classic Cucumber and Coronation chicken sandwiches, followed by an array of sweet delights including Black Forest Opera, Hazelnut Macarons, Lemon Meringue Choux, Hibiscus & Rose Cheesecake – not to forget the traditional Scones with butter, strawberry jam and Chantilly cream.

The high tea includes a fine selection of fragrant teas and coffees – and you may want to add a celebratory glass of bubbly!

Served Saturday and Sunday in the Greenhouse, on the Hohenort Terrace or the Greenhouse Bar, our High Tea is perfect for a wide range of special occasions, from birthdays, hen parties, baby showers and ‘Sip & See’ meet-the-new-baby afternoons, to corporate events.

It was a very nice experience overall. I gave 4 stars for the service because our tea was taken away a bit too quickly, almost without us noticing. I would have loved the chance to top it up with more hot water and enjoy the aroma and evolving taste a bit longer. These kinds of teas tend to open up more with each refill. Also, we didn’t receive any information about the teas we were served. Perhaps I’m confusing this with a different kind of High Tea experience where a tea sommelier is introduced and explains the blends, but still, a little guidance would have added to the enjoyment. One more small note: champagne was served in flutes. As a wine estate with deep expertise, I’m sure you’re well aware that flutes became popular alongside the cocktail-party style of serving, where guests stand, mingle, and move around. In a seated setting of this calibre, though, traditional open coupes would have felt far more fitting and elegant.

Everything perfect - except the peaceful quiet experience in the comfy ambiance was spoilt by a very loud party in the adjoining reception area that spilled into the tea room - I think they should have closed the door. Spread was amazing and different to last time I came - which was very nice - the scones warm and tasty - loved the sandwiches - planning to make this a regular event/outing. Thank you for the special surprise of a birthday treat for my daughter-in-law we did not expect that, so much appreciated.
