Inspired by The Oyster Boxs original, architecture with four magnificent tole and ceramic chandeliers purchased from the Savoy Hotel in London, natural sunlight and towering Palms, The Palm Court is the venue for the legendary High Tea each afternoon. Its also a favourite meeting spot for casual dining.

High Tea is a lengthy, leisurely affair with live piano music providing a welcome addition to the occasion. All pastries and baked goods are prepared on the property by our wonderful pastry team. The high tea table is a visual and taste spectacle of sumptuous treats, with everything from freshly baked scones, pastries, quiches and cakes, to finger sandwiches and savouries.

I've been coming for many High teas over the past years; I specifically wanted to see the ambience and how it is different from normal high teas because of the price. I am very disappointed to say that there was nothing extra or spectacular of the spring high tea. the only thing that was close to different was the elderly drink. The decor as well was limited. and the food creations weren't spectacular. In my opinion, there was nothing different as compared to the normal price of the high tea.

We had a wonderful afternoon , I do feel that there could have been more savoury options than there was , and I do not feel it warranted the extra R200 from the normal high tea price ?
