Inspired by The Oyster Boxs original, architecture with four magnificent tole and ceramic chandeliers purchased from the Savoy Hotel in London, natural sunlight and towering Palms, The Palm Court is the venue for the legendary High Tea each afternoon. Its also a favourite meeting spot for casual dining.

High Tea is a lengthy, leisurely affair with live piano music providing a welcome addition to the occasion. All pastries and baked goods are prepared on the property by our wonderful pastry team. The high tea table is a visual and taste spectacle of sumptuous treats, with everything from freshly baked scones, pastries, quiches and cakes, to finger sandwiches and savouries.

    High Tea at the Oyster Box was an unforgettable experience. I was pampered by the staff and the food was amazing. They even served me nonalcoholic champagne because I don’t drink alcohol. They also have caffeine free tea and coffee which I also enjoyed. They catered to my every need. I will definitely return.

    We had an absolutely amazing time. Your venue is absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful and happy experience. Service was fabulous and food was incredible with a wide selection. Just a pity one can only consume so much as there was so much to choose from. Thank you for an amazing time. A most generous and thoughtful gift of a High Tea Voucher from my daughter who lives overseas!

    We loved every moment from when we walked in until we left. It was a celebration treat for my friend's birthday. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and we felt like celebrities. The food was 5 star and the detail and care that every treat was presented to us makes the day even more special. I would say that you can't eat the value of the amount that you pay in food, but you do pay for the experience as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a different and special experience

    It was such an amazing experience that I shared with my daughter and my granddaughter for her 12th birthday and my 60th x would definitely recommend it and would love to do it again x thank you

    we had to ask the waiter for more savoury as we was limited and he advised that he needed to speak to the manager - whilst everyone is looking at us - very uncomfortable

    We attend the High Tea every year that we visit Umhlanga and would never miss it! Rashid has been our server for a few years now and he is fabulous- just top class!
