Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    A very special experience. Every was perfect 👌 I would say that the music could be better...more ambient to match everything else. Expensive jazz, warm ballads would round off what is definitely one the best restuarant experiences available in Cape Town. The cuisine is world class and I highly recommend this experience for my fellow adult contemporaries. Well done Matt 👏

    Everything was exquisite. From the hostess to the waitress, the food and ambiance. I would highly recommend Homespun to anyone who enjoys fine dining. Ive been to all the top 10 restaurants in Cape Town, and Homespun was by far the best.

    We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary at Homespun by Matt and had the most wonderful evening. The food was exceptional — every dish was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Our waitress, Andy, was fantastic; she explained each course with such enthusiasm and detail, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A truly memorable dining experience — highly recommended!
