Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    We recently celebrated our anniversary at Homespun by Matt and it was an unforgettable experience. Andy, our waitress, was absolutely amazing and made the evening feel extra special with her attentive and warm service. That said, the real highlight was the food — every dish delivered flavours we’ve honestly never experienced before. An incredible night all around. We’ll definitely be back again.

    Worth every dime! From the moment me and my partner entered till the last dish was phenomenal. Definitely fine dining experience at its best. The chef outdone himself and the service from the staff was warm and exceptional. No words can describe how grateful I am for the wonderful experience last night. Keep up the quality service. Cheers for many many beautiful occasions

    We loved our dining experience at Homespun . The food was amazing, the staff so knowledgeable and friendly. From the moment we entered until the moment we left, we absolutely loved it. Will definitely be returning very soon. Well done to Matt and his crew for setting the bar so high in this fantastic experience.
