Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    First time at Homespun by Matt and loved the whole experience. Food presentation was unique and the flavor’s were pure magic. The service was a perfect balance of professional & personal. Loved it!!

    Would highly recommend dining at Homespun by Matt! The service was impeccable and Erin really knew her stuff. She described each dish superbly which was highly beneficial, allowing us to envision what we were going to taste. Each of the seven courses (plus the additional two) were delicious and tantalised our taste buds. Thank you for such an incredible experience.

    Great food and service with excellent choice of wines by the glass including some great South African boutique wine makers. Presentation of the food is exemplary as are the detailed explanations. Try the electric daisy option - quite an experience.
