We had a varied group for dinner, older people who found the concept at first a bit confusing, but in the end loved it. Food, we opted for the Winter menu, which was great, tasty and filling. I have always loved the way it is unassuming from the outside but when we take guests who have never been, they are pleasantly surprised at not only a restaurant of this calibre exists in Tableview/Blouberg area but also the interior.

I've been to Homespun before, and this visit reminded me why I keep coming back. We made a last-minute booking, and the team responded quickly and accommodated us without any hassle. The whole process was efficient and welcoming. The starters were exceptional. The attention to detail in the Boerewors Roll was incredible, and it was easily one of the highlights of the evening. I also had the Agnolotti and Matt's Special—both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I could easily have eaten triple portions of each! Unfortunately, the pork and crayfish main was a bit disappointing. The crayfish was overcooked, and the overall flavour of the dish didn't quite come together. For dessert, we shared the cheesecake and the lemon meringue. They were pleasant enough, but didn't quite reach the same standard as the starters. Where Homespun really shines is its service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening, and the cocktails were impeccable. Overall, despite a couple of dishes that missed the mark, the outstanding starters, excellent service, and fantastic cocktails made it another enjoyable dining experience.
