Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    Ambience and it's intimate setting as always very good, food at Homespun is not just a good meal but an experience at the same time, in a very positive way. The main Hostess is perfect and could fit in seamlessly to any of the best restaurants in the World we have been lucky to frequent overseas from time to time. I would much rather come here than to travel into town to one of the fine dining restaurants there. Expensive yes, worth it, a most definite yes.

    It is our first visit at Homespun. The food experience was amazing with some dishes that really stand out (Matt Special and the Crispy Gammon). Andy, our waitress, went lengths to make this evening a success. We had an exchange of opinions about the wines and the manager offered a limited tasting at no extra charge. This is an address to recommend! Thank you to the chef and the team @ Homespun. Great time for our last evening dinner in Cape Town and anniversary (we really appreciated the little note on the dessert plate).

    Lovely experience and delicious food that was unique and exciting. Waiters were friendly and helpful and took good care of us. The waiters worked a little too hard to get us to add the extra cost items to our dinner. R2400 total for 2 people with drinks, without the added extras.
