Homespun was thoughtfully designed to transport you away from the stress of the outside world. We offer a unique adaptation of European cooking methods, influenced by Asian, local and worldly flavours.

The Restaurant was built out of the creative mind of Matt Schreuder. After several years of experience in top Michelin star restaurants across the globe, Matt decided to open his dream restaurant in Cape Town: Homespun by Matt.

    Absolutely loved the experience and we have been to your establishment many times over the years. All the food was superb but I personally loved the Ostrich Canape, the boerewors roll and believe it or not everyone loved the palate cleanser. My husband and our friend were a little disappointed with the wild boar but having said that it was still good. The highlight for my hubby was the Kudu. The presentation is as always beautiful. My friend's feedback was that her favourite courses were the beef fillet and the chocolate dessert. We loved our waitron Elijah who was attentive; fun, efficient and ensured that we had the best of times. It was our friends first time at Homespun by Matt and she has expressed the desire to return. I am not a fan of fine dining in general but this is a very special experience and by the time the main course arrived I was full; nothing so sad as to leave an establishment feeling hungry. I can and will recommend this restaurant to everyone.
