They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy a Hudsons burger - and that right there is the epitome of happiness.

The freshly baked golden bun with just the right amount of crisp outside and pillowy softness inside; don't underestimate the power of two really good buns, we certainly don't.

If you know us, we don't take life too seriously - we stay up too late, we play the music too loud and wear our jeans a little tighter than they should be. When it comes to our burgers though, it's serious business. We want to make sure that every last bite smacks you through the face with a big whack of happiness.

Thanks to our juicy, perfectly seasoned, sizzled, griddled and charred free-range beef patties, cradled oh-so-gently in-between those aforementioned bronzed buns and draped in our world-famous sauces with generous toppings, each mouthful is simply glorious.

    Everything was great, but it was really hot inside. Some fans are definitely needed for the hotter days. Our pregnant friend had to leave early due to this.

    I have recently moved back to Cape Town to open a new branch of our business in Paarden Eiland which we officially launched yesterday. We had our entire Pretoria team down for the launch which was a huge success. Naturally we had to go out with everyone for a nice meal to celebrate our new milestone. I had seen Hudson's opened a location in Kloof St and booked a spot for us... we were 14 people and got a last minute addition of or three investors that had flown down especially for the launch and ribbon cutting. Our table could just barely accommodate everyone so three more was impossible... enter Tahuna, who we had the absolute pleasure of dealing with! Immediately after I had enquired if she could make a plan for us, she went over to the table next to us that had 4 people sitting at it and asked if she could move them. They happily relocated and Tahuna joined their table to ours thus solving our problem. Nothing was to much for her and she really bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and like valued guests, which is very rare in the hospitality industry these days! We had a fantastic night made even better by the delicious food and exceptional service by all of your staff but expertly demonstrated by your young manageress, Tahuna! She is an absolute asset to your team and we will definitely be back because of her!! Do whatever you have to in order to keep her!

    Overall from the food to the drinks it's amazing however this was a reservation and what was disappointing that the one waiter seated myself and my partner at a table that was already reserved for 16h30 yes my booking was early but as you know you are always perhaps 5 minutes late which I do take that into accountability but the table we were at the waiter told us to leave or if we are aware of the time and it felt like the person was chasing myself and my partner out of the restaurant how you serve people is everything In future I hope you educate your staff on how to ask politely for people to leave an when someone books and it's maybe for 2 pax put their name on as well it makes it feel special and not only for large amount of group bookings Thank you
