They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy a Hudsons burger - and that right there is the epitome of happiness.

The freshly baked golden bun with just the right amount of crisp outside and pillowy softness inside; don't underestimate the power of two really good buns, we certainly don't.

If you know us, we don't take life too seriously - we stay up too late, we play the music too loud and wear our jeans a little tighter than they should be. When it comes to our burgers though, it's serious business. We want to make sure that every last bite smacks you through the face with a big whack of happiness.

Thanks to our juicy, perfectly seasoned, sizzled, griddled and charred free-range beef patties, cradled oh-so-gently in-between those aforementioned bronzed buns and draped in our world-famous sauces with generous toppings, each mouthful is simply glorious.

We think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship. Stand back, things are about to get messy: get ready to lose yourself in happiness, otherwise known as The Hudsons Burger.

    It remains an irritation that we have to buy separate fries with our burgers. At the price I continue to second guess a decision to go here for a burger because it’s better value to go to Spur fo a burger or across the tracks to the Vietnamese or to the Happy Rooster for a Oregon roll. But it’s a good burger at Hudsons and it’s nice for a change. I do question the sports to playing when there isn’t a significant game on. It pushes the noise up and conversations escalate to make a very loud eating experience. It would be nice to chill , enjoy the view and location without the shouting conversations around us. But service and waitrons are outstanding and food very tasty.

    I won’t be back at Hudsons, our booking was wrong, I booked for 4 and they had us at a table for 2, the table we were shown to was filthy and I had to clean it. They got our drinks order wrong and then kept bringing the wrong drinks to our table. The food was very mediocre. The staff were very confused and not good at their jobs. Over all not a worthwhile experience. Which is odd because the Hudsons in Hazelwood, Pretoria is fantastic.

    Excellent service! Food was amazing, especially the Monday special on the vegan burgers! The waitress was perfectly attentive and went the extra mile for my Mom's birthday, by serving her a beautifully decorated waffle :)
