Our new restaurant "In the Meantime" is located in Woodstock on the corner of Sir Lowry Road and Selwyn Street.

We serve a limited Asian inspired menu, using locally grown and ethically sourced ingredients.

Our menu contains many classic items from our previous spots, and will have new dishes to come, all focused on natural flavours elevated using fermentation.

Please note, we do not have a liquor license at the moment, and all alcohol is served on a bring your own basis.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate gluten-free diets.

We moved to The Palms Centre, next to the Seattle Coffee Company in the blue building on Sir Lowry Road.
Direct entrance is near the corner of Sir Lowry Road & Selwyn Street. There is a back entrance behind the building which you can use when you park inside the centre and take a short walk.

For deliveries, you can park in front of the shop when there is a space. Otherwise please use the loading bays inside the parking, which is free for 1 hour.

    Sepials is phenomenal. I went on valentine's day and it was such a lovely experience. There are so very talented creative people working tirelessly behind the scenes at Sepials. Just wow. Highly recommend.

    Authentic Korean dining in an appealing, intimate space - mother and son duo making you feel 'at home'. Kimchi dumplings are sensational, 'KFC' classic. Not (yet) licensed but charges R50 'corkage'.

    We had a lovely dinner at In the Meantime by Sepial. The menu celebrates simple, authentic Korean dishes served with genuine care and respect. There are no unnecessary frills here; just delicious, wholesome food presented beautifully in a calm, thoughtfully designed space. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the recycled coasters to the homemade cork presenter; the small, meaningful touches that reflect the restaurant’s ethos. Standout dishes included the comforting beef galbi-tang, a fresh and perfectly balanced seaweed and cucumber salad, and the oft-overlooked multigrain rice. Each grain is cooked separately before being combined, creating a wonderfully nuanced, textural delight that elevates the entire meal. An honorable mention goes to the red bean paste-filled fish waffle, served alongside matcha and white chocolate ice cream. It was a delightful, satisfying finish; playful, and absolutely delicious. In the Meantime is a place that lets quality and intention speak for themselves, and it does so beautifully.

    10/10 experience! Food is excellent, flavours are punchy yet clean. Every bite is delicious and you can taste the care put into every dish. Dining here, you feel like you’re sitting in a family home and you experience the passion of this mother and son duo! We’ll be back! Thank you for the wonderful food and experience.
