Our new restaurant "In the Meantime" is located in Woodstock on the corner of Sir Lowry Road and Selwyn Street.

We serve a limited Asian inspired menu, using locally grown and ethically sourced ingredients.

Our menu contains many classic items from our previous spots, and will have new dishes to come, all focused on natural flavours elevated using fermentation.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate gluten-free diets.

We are located at The Palms Centre, next to the Seattle Coffee Company in the blue building on Sir Lowry Road.

Our direct entrance is near the corner of Sir Lowry Road & Selwyn Street. There is a back entrance behind the building which you can use when you park inside the centre and and arrive at after a short walk.

For deliveries, you can park in front of the shop when there is a space. Otherwise please use the loading bays inside the parking, which is free for 1 hour.

    Wonderful warm yet elegant space, we had the vegan and vegetarian set menus which were outstanding and bursting with flavour, and service that made you feel so welcome and cared for by Mooru! Absolutely will be returning. Excellent

    Fantastic little find. Authentic Korean food in an intimate setting accompanied by a great wine list. Highly recommend!

    A beautiful experience. Sepial makes the most soulful food, served in a serene enviroment in the heart of buzzy Woodstock. The set menu is a journey from clear, nourishing broth, fried dumplings, umami packed kimchis & preserved vegetables, to hearty bulgogi and the sweetest little dessert. Every dish was like a hug for the soul. Service is warm and personable by Sepial's son Moor, and Sepial makes every dish herself - a kitchen team of 1! So many beautiful, considered touches! Handmade recycled paper coasters made from old menus and tea leaves, ceramics made my Sepial and her talented friends, cutlery imported from Korea... Every element is infused with so much love and care. The wine list is mind bogglingly well priced (insane older vintages of Mullineux, Savage etc) and the set menu is incredible value. Absolutely pitch perfect. I can't wait to go back.

    The food was very delicious and presented in a very nice way too. The service was very good as the guy hosting us was so gentle in explaining the dishes too. The ambience was also very nice suitable for us as a couple.

    A very special meal indeed. An authentic but modern Korean restaurant run entirely by a mother and son team, pouring heart, care and incredible attention into every detail. There’s something deeply personal and refreshing about what they are doing — soulful food, genuine hospitality and flavours that feel both comforting and exciting. In a city full of trends, this feels truly unique and sincere. The kind of place that deserves support, repeat visits and to be shared with friends. Cape Town needs more restaurants like this.

    저희 가족은 여행지마다 한식당에 들러 식사를 하는 전통이 있습니다. 케이프타운에서 우연히 만난 in the meantime은 이제껏 어디서 만난 그 어떤 곳보다 가장 깊은 감동을 남겼습니다. 조각보와 옹기, 식물이 있는 따뜻한 분위기의 식당 내부, 세심하고 다정한 접객, 도자기 그릇과 유기 커트러리부터 정갈한 음식, 특별한 와인 리스트까지 모두 완벽했습니다. 저희는 오이와 해초 샐러드, 김치 만두, 불고기와 제육 볶음, 갈비탕, 채소 피클, 디저트가 포함된 세트 메뉴와 버섯 잡채를 주문했고, 모든 메뉴는 아주 정성스럽게 준비되었습니다. 맛은 말할 것도 없습니다. 특히 초콜릿이 든 붕어빵과 말차 아이스크림, 팥의 조합은 정말 잊지 못할 거예요. Sepial과 식당이 지닌 신념에 깊이 공감합니다. 이 곳이 오래도록 많은 이들에게 사랑받으며 오래도록 자리를 지켰으면 하는 바람으로 떠납니다. 감사했습니다 Sepial과 팀 🤍
