    Unfortunately the music is far too loud to permit talking at a reasonable volume across a table. Once the jazz band started, it was even louder, but was forgivable once more popular songs were played. The waiter's tendency to default to the most expensive of a type of alcohol when asked for a generic category is disingenuous at best (ie Don Julio when asked for tequila). No viable outside options within cover limited the options to: too warm and loud, in the rain, or surrounded by smokers. Obviously the prices are extremely high, which can be excused when the rest is fantastic, but it's not...so the high prices just become poor value. The food issue is subjective. I personally found that the options were pretentious and unappealing on the whole, but I understand some people like that, so a neutral metric response is warranted.

    Last night we had a nice evening, because of the good service. We expected more from the food, as part of the Alphen hotel, but the food was mediocre. The cocktails were nice. The ambiance was killed by two way too big TV screens broadcasting football….. That just does not match with the whole idea & vibe of the Incognito bar. The bright light of the screens just killed the vibe and ambiance. I would go back for just cocktails on the outside terrace.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the relaxed vibe provided by tge DJ. I was disappointed that I was unable to have my deposit. Credited to my Dineplan account however as the manager said it could not be done. I have had this done at most other establishments and our table split tge bill or the person on whose behalf I booked was then able to pay in full.
