Experience the beauty and craftsmanship of proudly South African and internationally awarded Three Ships and Bain’s Whisky at the iconic James Sedgwick Distillery, the only commercial whisky distillery in Africa and located in the picturesque country town of Wellington.

We offer three different whisky experiences – all of which includes a refreshing welcome cocktail; an in-depth tour of the distillery and maturation and a tasting of four of our flagship whiskies:

Wellingtoner - Tasting of four local favourite whiskies paired with nibbles.

Best of Both – Tasting of four whiskies, a combination of local favourites and special releases paired with nibbles.

Special Releases - Tasting of four limited edition whiskies paired with nibbles.

    Such a great experience. The tour guide was well informed and we learned so much with the walk about of the plant. The whisky was exceptional.

    The Distillery walkthrough and tasting experience was very informative and interesting. There's much more to putting a glass of whisky on the table than one might think. Really enjoyed this.

    Can’t really fault anything as the entire experience is good value and well-presented. Our group of 5 were the only ones on this tour, so it was quite personal. Our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. Only “negative”, and this is my personal opinion, is that the food pairings with the whisky was not as good as previous times.
