The House of JC Le Roux is the leading home of sparkling wine in South Africa and offers an exquisite setting to explore the range of crisp, lively and refreshing sparkling and Méthode Cap Classique wines.

The cellar and vineyards nestle on part of the historic farm where French Huguenot, Jean le Roux, planted vines in Stellenbosch after fleeing Normandy in 1704. In 1982 The House of JC Le Roux was established as South Africa’s first dedicated sparkling wine cellar.

    The only comment : My wife decided on the Pizza pairing. She does not enjoy any spicy or hot food and the seafood pizza was apparently very hot...chilly burn...it is recommended that customers choosing the pizza pairing should be made aware of this, so that they can request that no chillie oil be used on the pizza. Other than this, we thoroughly enjoyed the wine pairing.

    The experience ended well but did not start off well. When we arrived, it took a while to be served, although the tasting room was fairly quiet. We were then given red sparkling wine with no explanation and waited a while before we were attended to. We were not sure if we could drink it or have to wait for the tasting to start. When the lady eventually arrived, she started with the tasting session. Only then were told that the red sparkling wine was our welcome drink. It would have been a different experience if she had communicated that with us. We could have sipped on it slowly while waiting and not wondering if we were going be attended to. It ended off well though.
