The House of JC Le Roux is the leading home of sparkling wine in South Africa and offers an exquisite setting to explore the range of crisp, lively and refreshing sparkling and Méthode Cap Classique wines.

The cellar and vineyards nestle on part of the historic farm where French Huguenot, Jean le Roux, planted vines in Stellenbosch after fleeing Normandy in 1704. In 1982 The House of JC Le Roux was established as South Africa’s first dedicated sparkling wine cellar.

    Nougat tasting could've been presented more elegantly. It did not look very appealing as the nougat was still in the Sally Williams packaging. It then got mixed up on the plate once opened, resulting in confusion with the tasting. The chocolate tasting didn't seem like good value for money. I expected a bit more chocolate. The service was excellent and Craig was an excellent host for the day. Location: We wanted to enjoy our tasting outdoors as the weather was lovely, but we were stuck indoors due to the outside chair cushions being damp. I would recommend JC le Roux especially if you enjoy intimate tasting sessions during off season as it was not too packed, busy or loud as opposed to the hot, overcrowded December times.

    Didn't have food so can't rate. Taster experience was fabulous. The lady who did our taster experience could maybe slow down a little (in speaking and what she was demonstrating) as it's hard to take it all in & she has a strong accent, but we really enjoyed it.
