    The setting is lovely and food tasty, however the room we were in had lovely old school toasting style fireplaces that generated so much smoke even my underwear was inundated in smoke! The acoustics in this room are also very poor and you can only hear the person next to you.

    Party of four, all dishes excellent: pastas, fish, curry. Warm welcome and great service. Winter's day so fires going inside. Hadn't been for a while. Pleasantly surprised, so will return soon.

    Very disappointed with the meals yesterday. My kingklip fish special was awful. The kingklip was so small and thin and dry was if it had been from a box and not freshly caught as I eat plenty of fresh caught kingklip. There was no nice sauce on fish or as a side like lemon butter & was so dry. The veg portion was alright. Then the pork belly (pork)ragu was just one large clump of pasta and hardly any pork in a bowl which has absolutely no finesse. Was just sauce and lasts and as the say “was more quantity than quality”. Really I’ve eaten here often and yesterday was a disaster! Then to mention the veg samoosas, three samosas placed on thick apricot chutney made the samosas soggy underneath as were placed upright on plate on the chutney. Rather serve delicately on the plate so remains hot and crisp and the sauce on side. Sorry but not great at all and price I paid for the fish was ridiculous!!! Unhappy customer.
