Serving breakfast, coffee, cake, wine, and lunch. Seasonal menus change often, featuring flavorsome dishes made from scratch, using regional produce.
Typical breakfast dishes include filled omelets, French toast, charcuterie & local cheeses.
Lunchtime menu examples are herb-crusted pork loin served cold with salad and pickles, steak & chips, smoked trout with crème frâiche & lemon dressing, baked aubergine with chimichurri, and fruit tarts or crème caramel for dessert.
The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly with a cosy fireplace in winter and a vine-shaded stoep overlooking the gardens to be enjoyed in the summer.

    Food is very good, a lovely bistro with beautiful views across the lawns. The flies are a problem though, not sure what can be done.

Mothers Day Breakfast at Joostenberg Bistro

This Mothers Day, our chefs have created a delicious set breakfast menu featuring starters to share followed by a choice of tasty individual dishes to start this wonderful day off! Kids offerings are available too. R225 per adult, kids options from R45. There will be Mimosas, bubbly, and oysters available as extras with both our breakfast and lunch menus. Bookings are essential.

This Mothers Day, we will be offering a lovely set menu at lunchtime. Each course of our three-course menu has select options available, so you can choose the perfect dish for you. The little ones can enjoy a set menu on the day too. The lunch set menu is R395 for adults and R195 for kids. There will be Mimosas, bubbly, and oysters available as extras with both our breakfast and lunch menus. Bookings are essential.
