The Kraal Restaurant at Joostenberg Wine Estate is a laid back winery restaurant, serving slow, seasonal lunches and organic Joostenberg wines. We work with fresh, seasonal, local produce and our menu changes every week. Tables are set between fruit and olive trees in the shaded, stone walled courtyard in summer, and inside the cozy, rustic wagenhuis in winter. Booking is essential.

Allow some time to enjoy a relaxed, informative tasting of our wines and to stroll through the werf garden and admire the authentic, original Cape Dutch architecture. For those who’d like a lighter meal, we we serve a cheese and salad lunch too.

    Veronica was the best! Explained all the wines and the process behind them. She was warm and welcoming, made the experience a worthwhile! Definite gem to visit in summer and enjoy a meal at the Kraal+
