    Hosted my son’s birthday party and Chef Abigail did a good job with the food. Generous portions, tasty food and a great time, served by Nkosi.

    The place is lovely and obviously gets really full, our waiter was rather on the busy side and not very attentive

    I am a frequent visitor of Joy Jozi and have always had good food and a great time. However, on the 26th July I took two children and was very dissapointed. After being seated at our table, no one tended to us after being seated for a while, the kids just wanted to go and play and I took them upstairs to the play area. When I returned to order our food, our table was given away, with two children not having anything to drink or eat they were cranky and I decided to leave. I find this very poor. I also have to say having gone into the play area myself, I found most the equipment not functioning. And I am just wondering, quick to ask for R200 upfront for an 18 month old and a five year old but not so forthcoming on working equipment or service. Not good Joy Jozi, don’t let your success be your downfall!

    Had a great time with friends and family. Food was ok! Our experience was put to an end when a waitress came and told us that we had 10 minutes until we had to leave for the next table. We hadn't even ordered pudding and had just finished eating. We had ordered more drinks and coffee and wanted to order dessert. "Apparently", you can't stay more than 3 hours so every time you go there, they tell you to leave after 3 hours (it was in the fine print when I made the booking which I hadn't seen). I booked my table for 12 and we arrived at 12:20. By the time we had eaten and were looking to order dessert we were told to finish up in 10 minutes and leave so that they could squeeze more customer in. What a shocker!! Especially as we had just spent over R2k on lunch. I told the waitress I was shocked, and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Joy Jozi you obviously have no idea when it comes to customer service. Treating your customers like dirt to cram in more tables will backfire - I will never go back. The waitress also could have handled it better - she approached it terribly. Maybe it would have not been as bad should she have handled it better and not treated us like dogs.
