    Good seems inconsistent to me based of my last visit vs this one. Also a lot of salt so does kill the flavour abit. A few starters were ok but the rest did not wow me. Firecracker chicken was good, jerk chicken was an absolute let down and tasted like a frills piece of chicken with minimal flavour. The crispy fried beef was ok but the veg to meat content is 90/10 which lets it down. Also very salty . R2500 later I left feeling disappointed

    I’ve been to Kanpai before and it’s always a great idea. The service was lovely. The food tasted great. Would definitely recommend.

    The gyoza trio was really tasty and was served in a delicious chill oil. The wagyu smash burger was also really good. The seafood ramen was okay, but the beef ramen was the highlight. Many different flavours but well balanced.

    Food OK. Was surprised that chicken yakitori was not available. Crispy meals lack crisp... A tin a Asahi super dry at 195 Rand is a tad extravagant.
