    There are countless eating places within the winelands area that delivers tasty, top quality meals. La Motte is right up there with the best. However, there are two things that set La Motte apart in my opinion. The first is their staff both within the bakery and throughout the whole estate , they are friendly, efficient and deliver a service of a superior standard. Secondly, the beautiful grounds and gardens,kept in pristine condition. A must visit for both locals and overeas visitors.

    Tough to get an open spot, but once ur in its a win - good food, beautiful setting, excellent service!

    We ordered croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon. Couldn’t be faulted. Our waiter, Freedom. What an incredible gem! A delightful sense of humour and when one of our party struggled to calm a nasty bout of coughing, he quietly appeared with a freshly squeezed glass of carrot juice, ginger and a dash of honey to soothe her discomfort. Great spot to gather!

    We love La Motte ….lunch menu is well priced but breakfast is out of line …a rip off …scrambled eggs and tomatoes were a mingy portion for R155 …never again …you should include avo or at least more eggs and tomatoes for that price …
