Warm and inviting in winter time, bright and airy in the summer months, La Pineta Restaurant is truly a venue for all seasons. From the terrace or lawn you can enjoy stunning views of Table Mountain and the Cape Winelands, while sipping on a crispy white from our extensive wine list. We cater for the entire family and sport an outside play park for the little ones. Treat your whole family to lunch under the pines or spend an entire evening in the welcoming glow of one of our open log fireplaces.

With our seasonal menus and refreshing blend of adventurous and classic dishes, we pride ourselves on being leaders in culinary trends. Using only the freshest local and international ingredients,we bring a twist to classic favourites and offer a variety of new dishes created exclusively for you to try.

We cater for functions to a maximum of 300 guests in restaurant. Our Private Dining Room can be booked for smaller functions (maximum 50 guests).

    Always an excellent dining experience. A varied menu, all very enjoyable and well presented. We were very sad to find that our dog is no longer welcome, even outside, so we are unlikely to return.

    I ordered a 300g rump steak with gorgonzola sauce and side baked potato. For the price - really not cheap - it was something of a barren offering. A very unimaginative presentation more akin to army food. Not even a sprig of garnishing. Very dreary and boring culinary presentation considering what one is paying. Some garnishing, maybe a small side salad and some vegetables would increase your overheads minimally yet increase your presentation and the dining experience maximally - at very little extra cost to you. My guest ordered a 200g sirloin with mashed potato. The sirloin was small, questionably 200g (which we queried with the waiter) and came with a bowl of mashed potato and was again presented like boarding school food. One can't help feeling ripped off and short-changed. I really don't mind paying top dollar for a top dollar dining experience but yours is not it!!! Despite the truly magnificent venue. The tourists may think it's wonderfully cheap but us locals may think differently. There are many choices for value-for-money dining experiences and therefore I very strongly doubt that we will be back. John Roos 082 829 9979.
